Wang Le Director of Program Implementation
|
Wang Le, is an energetic lady with a very positive attitude towards both her work and personal life. She has always been interested in development work and started volunteering with different organisations when she served in the commercial sector. In addition, she worked in Namibia on an Early Childhood Care Development project as an international volunteer. Wang Le joined Save the Children in 2007 first as the Tibet Deputy Programme Manager with responsibility for the supervision of the support function within the Tibet Programme office and then moved to Shanghai as Shanghai Programme Manager,setting up and developing the new urban programme in the largest city of China. As the core member of Save the Children China Emergency Response Team, she participated in our relief efforts in Wenchuan (2008) and Yushu (2009) earthquakes, and will be leading the Emergency Response Team since July 2011. She has been nominated as the regional Child Safeguarding Champion for South East and East Asia region since 2009. She holds a Bachelor degree in Business Studies (Accounting) from Charles Sturt University, Australia and a Master in Management of Development from University of Turin, Italy.Her previous studying and volunteering experience in many different countries in Europe and Africa as well as working experience in different parts of China has given her many unique skills to work in a multi-culture environment. Wang Le likes traveling and trekking. She is married to a real mountain trekker and movie lover. |

Hu Yuanqiong Director of Program Development and Quality |
Hu Yuanqiong joined Save the Children in November 2010 as Head of Policy Division in China Programme. She has worked with the international medical humanitarian organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)/Doctors without Borders as Advocacy Advisor in China, and with Natural Resources Defense Council, a US based environmental NGO, on environmental governance and law issues. As a licensed Chinese lawyer, she also worked as a practicing lawyer and as a teacher of economic law before entering public interest and development sectors. Hu Yuanqiong attained Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) in the Theory and Practice of Human Rights from Oslo University in Norway, as well as Master of Law (LLM) and Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Shandong University in China. |

Perrine Lhuillier Member and Donor Service Director |
Perrine manages the Funding Division inside the China Program. The Funding division, set up in 2008, provides support to all programme teams in fundraising and grants management, through research, networking, training and hands-on assistance. Perrine started her China career providing intelligence for some of China’s most important foreign investors (Fortune 100 investors in China) when working as a consultant for Claydon Gescher Associates. She then became the China programme coordinator for a French NGO concentrating on facilitating access to quality basic education in Southern Ningxia. Prior to joining Save the Children in September 2010, she worked as a programme manager for the Great Britain-China Centre in London, supervising criminal law reform projects. Perrine completed a B.A in International Relations at Sciences-Po (Lyon, France) in 2000 and an M.A. in Human Rights with a focus on children’s rights at the University of Essex in 2002. She is a native French and proficient Mandarin Chinese speaker. |

Zhang Hong Head of HR & Operations Division |
After graduated from University, Zhang Hong first worked for the Beijing branch of a Japanese company. She joined Save the Children in 1999, first as Administrative Officer, then as Office Manager and Assistant to the Country Director. In 2005, Zhang Hong was appointed as Director of Support Services of China Programme through open recruitment, responsible for managing Human Resources, Finance and Organisational Registration. After an organisational restructure in 2008, Zhang Hong has been appointed as the Head of Human Resources and Operations, responsible for Human Resources, Operations, Legal affairs and Organisational Registration. |

Zhu Yunyun Head of Finance Division |
Zhu Yunyun graduated from the University of International Business and Economics with an B.A in Economics majoring in risk investment and a Masters in Finance. She has sound business and extensive financial management experience having held senior financial management roles in companies, both foreign and Chinese, across the publishing, medical and the high-tech sectors. Her specialties are internal controls and corporate governance. Yunyun joined Save the Children in 2007, now leading the China Programme’s Finance Team. She is responsible for financial policy development, building financial management capacity for the China Programmes and the maintenance and enhancement of internal controls.

John Giszczak Beijing Program Manager |
John served as the Head of Funding for Save the Children from May, 2008 to September, 2010. He is now managing our projects in Beijing and our national Programme Quality Team as the Programme Division Coordinator. Additionally he provides support to the Head of Programmes. Prior to joining Save the Children he worked as the Grants Manager for a US-based foundation where he was posted in Qinghai managing small grants to local Tibetan organizations there and in other Tibetan-inhabited regions. Prior to that John also served as the Director of Education Programs for an American NGO working in western Sichuan. He completed a B.A. in International Relations at the James Madison College of Michigan State University in 2003, and a M.A. in Asian Studies with a focus on China at the University of Michigan in 2005. During both programs much of John’s coursework and research interests were focused of international development, with a particular interest in China. His Master’s thesis used data from the Gansu Survey of Children and Families to examine early risk factors for children dropping out of school later in life. John is also highly proficient in Mandarin Chinese. |

Jigme Tibet Program Manager |
Jigme joined Save the Children in January 1993, currently working in the capacity of Tibet Programme Manager in the Tibet Office of the SC China Programme. Prior to his current role as the Tibet Programme Manager, Jigme worked in various capacities - as watsan sectoral programme officer, coordinator and liaison chief. In addition to solid, long-term grassroots empirical experience in community-based programmes, he has demonstrable experience in strategic programme planning, development and management. More recently, he has started to take an additional responsibility - a new dimension to his work - as the SC Emergency Leader for the China country programme. Jigme has a Masters degree in International Development from the University of Manchester in the UK. He used to teach English in Tibet in the early 90s. Reading and listening to classical, traditional, pop and folk music are his favourite hobbies. He also takes interest in audio-visual material editing work.

Liu Lihan Yunnan Program Manager |
Liu Lihan joined Save the Children in 1996 as China Programme’s Finance Manager. She provides comprehensive management of all financial aspects of our China Programme, and has gradually improved the formulation and management of financial procedures, rules and regulations, including developing and updating financial policies, establishing internal control mechanisms, monitoring and administering grant application and grant funding, managing the use of project funds by partners, building financial management capacity for partners, project managers and finance staff, and providing financial support to programme operations and organisational development. Between August 2003 and September 2004, in addition to her role as finance manager, Liu Lihan also acted ass Yunnan ProgrammeManager, responsible for the overall management and coordination of Yunnan Programme’s project development, human resources, finance, administration, etc. After amassing substantial experience from managing China Programme’s finances, and successfully operating and managing projects, Liu Lihan was appointed as Yunnan Programme Manager in 2008, and was put in charge of the overall operation and long term development of Yunnan Programme. Liu Lihan’s hobbies are extensive, which include music, sports and travel. |

Zhang Bin Xinjiang Program Manager |
I used to work for Xinjiang Regional Government in foreign affairs for more than thirty years, and during that time I had worked in the Chinese Embassy as diplomat for five years as well. I joined Save the Children in 2006. I am so happy to work for children, and I like to serve in SC UK which has long history and height reputation in the world, especially to be one of the staff in China Programme which is a wonderful team. My work is not easy but definitely the most exciting. I am a responsible and motional person. I enjoy working, and reading and staying with my family.
