Monday morning saw the welcome of all panel members with introductions from Bill Bell, Nick Kavanagh and Bharti Mepani. The panel spent time getting to know each

other and discussing the problems faced by children in each of the countries and regions they are representing. The outcome of these discussions was to identify and prioritise the most important issues and problems and begin the planning process of how to address the Board of Trustees in regard to these issues. The panel also explored how they will contribute to the Annual Report. The launch of the panel was celebrated with a group evening meal.

I hope all suggestions made by the children’s panel and decisions made by the board bring a real change to people and are realistic changes that could occur. Our involvement should not be tokenistic.”
