CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 1: the consultant will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed.

Background
Save the Children and Nanjing Community Development Center for Facilitators, Beijing Boyuantuozhi Child Development Centre and Guiyang Nanming Qiming Social Work Organization jointly applied for the EU DEVCO 2017 CSO development fund. Based on the needs of children at present, to improve the professional competency of relevant professionals, so that they can provide welfare and protection service to children. The training contents include child protection, child rights, gender equality, child participation and advocacy by social organizations, and participatory training will help to improve the efficiency of training. So the project team want to recruit training course developer experienced in those five areas.
背景
救助儿童会与南京协作者社区发展中心、北京博源拓智儿童公益发展中心和贵阳南明启明社会工作服务社共同申请了欧盟国际发展合作署2017年度的中国社会组织发展资金，希望从当前儿童的需求出发，提升儿童福利和保护相关专业工作人员的专业能力。培训内容包括儿童保护、儿童权利、性别平等、儿童参与和社会组织倡导，参与式的培训有助于提高培训效率。因此项目希望招聘上述几方面的课程开发顾问。
Purpose
Develop systematic training courses (participatory training is preferred) of five areas, child protection, child right, gender equality, child participation and CSO advocacy. The following context must be included when developing course content:
Save the Children’s practice in China and other similar areas;
Local CSOs’ development stage in China;
Local CSO workers capacity of child protection service provision;
Consultants’ experiences in related fields;
目标
基于救助儿童会项目经验、大陆地区社会组织工作人员专业能力现状以及顾问在儿童保护、儿童权利、性别平等、儿童参与、参与式培训、社会组织倡导领域的理论及实践经验，共同开发针对社会组织工作人员及其他儿童工作人员的系统培训内容。
Consultant Tasks
Attend course development workshops (1-4) organized by Save the Children in Nanjing, Guiyang and Kunming from August to December, 2019. Consultant must prepare required materials in advance, then discuss with Save the Children staff and other consultants during the workshops to finalize training contents on specific topics among the following areas:
child protection,
child right
gender equality
child participation
CSO advocacy
The contents must be designed specifically for CSO workers and other child protection workers in China. After the workshop, finish assigned task to finalize training contents and MEAL tool for the training topic. Each workshop lasts 2 to 3 days, 3 to 5 consultants will be invited to each workshop.
顾问工作
2019年8月至2019年12月参加救助儿童会在南京、贵阳或者昆明组织的课程开发工作坊（1-4次），提前准备要求的材料，在课程开发工作坊中讨论确定针对社会组织工作人员和其他儿童保护工作人员的培训课程，内容包括儿童保护、儿童权利、性别平等、儿童参与、社会组织倡导五个板块下的细分主题。根据工作坊分配任务补充内容完善培训教案和监测评估工具。每次课程开发工作坊邀请3至5位顾问参加，持续2至3天。

Training contents of specific topic among child right, gender equality, child participation and CSO advocacy;
Monitoring and evaluation tool for each training topic;

Timeline

September 16 to September 20, 2019 the second course development workshop (Nanjing, Guiyang or Kunming);
October 28 to November 1, 2019, the third course development workshop (Nanjing, Guiyang or Kunming);
November 25 to November 29, the fourth course development workshop (Nanjing, Guiyang or Kunming);

Person Specifications required
Knowledge on child protection in China and other areas;
Knowledge on CSO’s development and child protection service provision capacity in Nanjing and Guiyang is preferred;
Education background on social work and other relevant area;
At least 3-year experience of practice on social work, child protection, child rights, gender equality, child participation, advocacy or participatory training;
Candidates with case work experience or good at participatory training are preferred;
要求
了解我国或其他地区儿童保护工作现状，了解南京、贵阳两地社会组织发展现状及儿童保护服务能力现状为佳；
有社会工作及相关的教育背景；
至少3年实务工作经验，包括社会工作、儿童保护、儿童权利、性别平等、儿童参与、宣传倡导或者参与式培训；
有社会工作个案服务经验者，或擅长参与式培训者优先.
