Child Safeguarding Statement for Adverts

TITLE:  Finance Assistant

TEAM/PROGRAMME:  National Finance Team

LOCATION:  Beijing

GRADE: 6

CONTRACT LENGTH: Fix Term

POST STATUS: National

 

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 1:  the post holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory for this post unless the content of the post changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level should be reviewed.

 

ROLE PURPOSE:

Support finance staffs to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters, including maintaining financial records, processing payments, voucher handing and making, tax reporting, check invoice list and purchase orders to invoices, handle cash transfer etc.

 

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Head of Ledger Account

Staff reporting to this post: No

Budget Responsibilities: N/A

 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

 

·        Cash Management:

·        Collecting payment request;

·        Establish the timely communication with sub office to checking the payment record;

·        Daily bank transaction via e-banking system based on payment request to ensure the timely and accurately payment delivered for other program;

·        Collecting and sending the fund request to RO;

·        Monitoring the cash flow;

·        Dealing with bank/cash related issues.
 

·        Data Entry:

·        Prepare vouchers to ensure the supporting documents are sufficient and comply with internal rule and Chinese accounting law;

·        Input accounting data into Yongyou and Agresso system with speed and accuracy;

·        Produce accurate bank and cash book keeping records.
 

·        Data maintenance

·        Maintain and process assets information;

·        Update the daily cashbook and ensure the up to date information;

·        Maintain suppliers information.
 

·        Archive mangement

·        Organize financial accounting files (scan and filling vouchers);

·        Matching invoices to statements and purchase orders to invoices;

·        Assets information management;

·        Tax and bank related doucments.
 

·        Tax

·        Collecting individual income tax list and reporting;

·        Stamp duty collecting and reporting;

·        Quarterly VAT and enterprise income tax reporting;

·        Dealing with tax related matters.
 
 

·        Others

·        Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role (including but not limited to audit support, bank slips deliver, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS 
 

·        A finance professional qualification or equivalent in a related subject.
 
XPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential:
 

·        A Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject, finance related major is preferred.

·        Paying attention to details, patient, and a pleasant manner

·        Open for both fresh graduate and experienced candidate

·        Fluent in English and Mandarin both spoken and in written.

·        Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles

·        A commitment to support for cross-organisational initiatives and to team working and understanding of how to contribute to this.

·        Ability to operate within a predominantly administratively self-servicing environment.

 

Desirable:

 

·         Experience of working in Non-profit organisation
