Consultancy title: Finance Consultant

Location: Beijing

CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Suggest appropriate – Level 1

Level 1:  the consultant will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed.

Background

Save the Children China is one of the Country Offices set under Save the Children International (SCI), receiving funds through SCI and /or SC member offices, as well as operating programmes in China. In China, we are registered as an international NGO and are supervised by Ministry of Civil Affairs (MoCA, our business supervisory unit) and Beijing Public Security Unit (PSB).

Purpose

Support finance staffs to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters, including maintaining financial records, voucher handing and making, tax reporting, check invoice list and purchase orders to invoices etc.

Consultant Tasks

1. Collecting payment request and individual income tax list;

2. Preparing batch input files for different systems;

3. Dealing with bank related issues, such as print/send and deliver the bank slips to other finance;

4. Organize financial accounting files;

5. Assis internal and external audit;

6. Other tasks assigned by Line Manger.

Person Specifications required:

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject;

- Paying attention to details and patient;

- Fluent in English and Mandarin both spoken and in written.
