Level 1:  the consultant will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed.

Background

Save the Children China is one of the Country Offices set under Save the Children International (SCI), receiving funds through SCI and /or SC member offices, as well as operating programmes in China. In China, we are registered as an international NGO and are supervised by Ministry of Civil Affairs (MoCA, our business supervisory unit) and Beijing Public Security Unit (PSB).

Purpose

This position is aiming to ensure administrative services are delivered effectively in Yunnan, as well as providing national admin service as needed.

Consultant Tasks

1.       Overall maintenance of the residence/office premises, facilities assets and equipment in Kunming office and ensure that these are secure and efficiently utilized.

2.        Office logistical support for staff/visitor’s travel arrangements, meetings, events, training and workshops as required.

3.        Maintain administrative daily ordinary operations

4.        Handle other administrative tasks as needed from time to time in order to ensure the smooth running of the team and the Save the Children China programme.

 Person Specifications required:

3 year above relevant experience

Customer-oriented

Focus on detail and strong sense of responsibility

Familiar with using MS Outlook, Word and Excel

Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles

Experience on IT equipment, systems and networks support is plus
